Listened to this story on a long road trip. It is well written. And the character development kept my attention. I, personally, did not care for cursing in the story....especially when the story flowed well & the foul language did not "enhance".
It is definitely for younger adults.

I read this book on Cape Verde - it struck me how honest it was, how ugly, and beautiful. You'll get annoyed on some of the characters, but at the same time you'll obtain sympathy for them, and start to love them. I could, to a significant degree, identify with the main character and I just felt that he shared my thoughts many times. I could in a very pure, but heart-aching way, remember how it was to grow up, to long for someone, and to try to understand oneself and people around. This is a truly beautiful piece - I'll recommend it to everyone who's struggling, or once did, with feelings of insecurity and hesitation.
Good book ... Nice read but deteriorated a bit towards the end.

Good book. Some good messages .... Definitely not as good as Fault in our Stars. Lost it a bit towards the end. I expected a bit more ... Something deeper for the ending.
SO good!
